Who turned up the heat?

Well, at 102 degrees I have camped out in my air conditioned bedroom. I am using the time to bring my computer up to date with OS X 10.10.4 and learn the ins and outs of the new music service from Apple which I am really liking.

I was having a problem getting the video I took at my farm from my Sony camera to iMovie. Turns out I was just impatient. It took awhile for the program to recognize the camera connected via USB. Yesterday I kept disconnecting and reconnecting thinking something was wrong. Today I tried again and then got busy doing something else. After about 5 minutes all of a sudden the new photo app opened and I could see all the videos that were on the hard drive in the Sony camcorder and choose which ones to import. That allowed me to create a new video you can view of how we irrigate my farm.

Well, just as getting ready to post this Phai came in said she was going to my farm. So I just spent a couple of hours at the farm. Even though it was 100 degrees there was a great breeze. We took some gas out for the tractors so they can keep pumping water. Phai’s oldest son and his wife spent a lot time cleaning up all around the shelter and trimming the out of control vegetation. Looks nice now.

I have a favorite song here in Thailand and have been having a problem finding the recording. I finally found the song/music video (it is a challenge when you don’t know the name of the song because everything is in Thai). I am posting the music video below. I think even though you will not understand the words you will understand the story, the humor and the I hope enjoy the music. A young man who lives in Bangkok has serious allergies to the pollution. The doctor recommends he spend some time up north in farm country for fresh air. He takes the bus to a village someone recommended to him. He meets a pretty girl who is very skeptical of this city boy as is her father. You can figure out the rest. It is beautifully filmed and the scenery, people and events remind me so much of what is like where we live.
