A light rain from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm but much work got done.

We are really disappointed that no work got done on the roof today. Our expert stopped by this morning but due to rain they could not work on the roof. He said he would come back when the rain stopped but it finally stopped abut 3:30 pm and he has not shown up. However they got almost all the interior and exterior coating of the cinderblock done. Also finished the cinderblock around the two back doors. The interior should look great when we paint and hang pictures. Of course the first pictures that go up will be the King and Queen of Thailand in a prominent location in the living room. We did go into Na Klang for the flea market and Phai  bought a bunch of young trees (mango) and plants. I took a few grab shots with my small water proof camera and a few shots on our street. I really get a kick out of seeing them drive their motorbikes with one hand while holding an umbrella with the other. Hope their cell phone doesn't ring, they are liable to tray and go no handed and answer the phone (just kidding). I do see them riding motorbikes while talking on their phones all the time.

I had mentioned to Phai two days ago that I felt we should get the septic tank at the house we are living in now emptied. This morning the septic and sewage sucking service (my name for them) drove by honking the horn so we flagged them down. Luckily they have a long hose so they were able to pull in the driveway of our house, run the hose through the garage to the tank in back of the house. I was  in shock when I was given the bill. The total cost was $4.50. Their service was great and their price even better. When it comes to how far my money goes, I love it here.

We are just about reaching the limits of what can be done without having the roof on. So the battle with the roof continues and all I can do is see what tomorrow brings.

I had my "Ning" soup today for lunch. Still not tired of it. I kidded about publishing a diet book about the "Ning Soup Diet" with her recipe. The market had my salad last night so I was a happy camper and I hope they have it again tonight.

The rain doesn't stop them from getting where they want to go and their only transportation for most villagers is a motorbike.

Phai made them put that support stick in the middle of the board for "safety".

This guy coated the whole side of the house using that jury rigged platform. Here is is checking out his work.

He climbs back up to continue. I was nervous all day for him and glad they don't sue people here.
